Stakeholders and various professionals are converging in Lagos on Friday 19th June to discuss the thorny issue of fuel subsidy in Nigeria.
The round table tagged “Fuel Subsidy: A Closer Look” will be held at the Auditorium of the Centre for International Advanced and Professional Studies (CIAPS).
Speakers and panelist will include Mobolaji Aluko, Henry Boyo, Tosin Adeyanju and Anthony Kila.
Discussants at the event will analsye past and future of fuel subsidy, its effect on the country and its relation to fuel scarcity.
Also expected to participate at the parley are legislators from various political parties, NGOs and the general Public.
The “Fuel Subsidy: A Closer Look” roundtable is a CIAPS event managed by selected students of Media and Journalism led by Fatima Melissa Turay, Charity Azubike, Shimatever Sunday and Omolara Abioye as part of their professional training.
In a statement signed by Fatima Melissa Turay, CIAPS Centre Director Prof Anthony Kila stated that “the Event is part of CIAPS effort to help understand and improve the country we live and operate in”
CIAPS is the first paperless institution in Africa and it is running career-oriented programmes aimed at getting graduates and professional into jobs in their chosen professions.
The main areas of studies are: Journalism, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Office management, Education and Project Management.
