God's Rights, Women's Rights, Human and Democratic Rights

by Odimegwu Onwumere

Many people are hardly obeying God in the present-days. They are much
concerned about how to make Human Rights and Democratic Rights effective,
instead of the ways of God. Especially, the politicians and feminists are
culprits. And when you try to put the record straight that God laws/rights
detailing how men and women should operate in the world is sacrosanct, they
tell you that you are living in the past and are barbaric. But even though
they change God laws/rights for their selfish pleasures, a point from the
bible perception says, “I am the LORD, I change not.” (Malachi 3:6).

God has no pleasure in fools who do not keep their vows. (Ec 5:4-5). This
is evident in one reply I got on an article of mine from a chauvinistic
feminist. The article was titled, “Rivers’ Women, Inheritance and the
Future of Decency”. I said in that article that from the beginning nature
and God have placed both man and woman on different roles, different body
chemistry, reasoning, reaction to things and duties etc. So, changing the
Laws of the Ancient of Days for politically selfish purposes christened
“Human Rights”, “Women Liberation”, “Gender Equality”, just name them, are
all not in tandem with the God laws/rights.

This woman said that it was very disappointing to her that I said a thing
like that, and that it beats her imagination. She authoritatively sees
civilization to mean change in laws and status quo when she casted venom
and vituperation on my personality that she was surprised that a man in
(her) 21st century thinks about women the way I was thinking in the
write-up. She does not believe that the men should take the lead while the
women should follow. She asked that when will my like and myself accept the
fact that a woman’s place is no longer at the background and face the facts
that women these days are not even looking up to inherit from their spouses
or fathers, but working hard to acquire their own assets in their names
that they can handover to their children. (Did you hear that? Renegade.)

Further she said: “Note, their children! I did not say their girl children,
because to us women children are equal in the sight of GOD.” She added in
the form of questioning: “How do we develop as a nation when people like
you still have this barbaric notion about the position and role of women in
(her) 21st century world? How do we achieve the Millennium Development Goal
that calls for Equality and Equity, how do we end violence against women
when you support “light” beating of a wife to correct her?” She said that
“light” because of a portion of the Quran that I quoted thus:

Yusuf Ali: [004:034]: Men are the protectors and maintainers of women,
because God has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because
they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are
devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband’s) absence what God would have
them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and
ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds,
(And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not
against them Means (of annoyance): For God is Most High, great (above you
all).

This woman does not agree that a woman must show obedience to her man, and
she went further to expose herself to ridicule when she wrote: “Please try
and get civilized and move away from your archaic idea of women. On a last
note I must say I would like to meet with your wife i.e. if you are married
and have a chat with her on women empowerment”.

I reject this woman and her like to associate with any woman that I know in
this world. It is because of this type of woman that the bible (told every
woman) that you are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you.
(Song of Solomon 4:7). (But) Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a
woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. (Proverbs 31:30). (So) Do not
let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of
gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden
person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet
spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious. (1 Peter 3:3-4).

She would not like “a gentle and quiet spirit” because she wants to measure
with the men. It is because of this type of weird woman who relegates the
Laws/Rights of God to the background that the bible asked: An excellent
wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels (And Women Rights.
Emphasis mine). The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no
lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life.
She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands. She is like the
ships of the merchant; she brings her food from afar. (Proverbs 31:10-31).

Where this type of woman is fighting for Women Rights and all that
nonsense, lacing it with her jaundiced statement that Man and Woman are
equal before her own God (not mine), she does not agree with the word of
God which says that now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives
should submit in everything to their husbands. (Ephesians 5:24). Wives,
submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. (Ephesians 5:22).

This woman and her like resembled the story on the seventh day, when the
heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha,
Harbona, Bigtha and Abagtha, Zethar and Carkas, the seven eunuchs who
served in the presence of King Ahasuerus, to bring Queen Vashti before the
king with her royal crown, in order to show the peoples and the princes her
beauty, for she was lovely to look at. But Queen Vashti refused to come at
the king’s command delivered by the eunuchs. At this the king became
enraged, and his anger burned within him. Then the king said to the wise
men who knew the times (for this was the king’s procedure toward all who
were versed in law and judgment, the men next to him being Carshena,
Shethar, Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena, and Memucan, the seven princes
of Persia and Media, who saw the king’s face, and sat first in the
kingdom). (Esther 1:10-22).

God however warns this woman and her like and surrogates that rebellion is
as the sin… presumption is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have
rejected the word of the Lord, he has also rejected you from being king. (1
Samuel 15:23). To this type of woman, she does not agree with the book of
the genealogy of Jesus Christ, (because women were not counted) the son of
David, the son of Abraham. Abraham was the father of Isaac, and Isaac the
father of Jacob, and Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers, and Judah
the father of Perez and Zerah by Tamar, and Perez the father of Hezron, and
Hezron the father of Ram, and Ram the father of Amminadab, and Amminadab
the father of Nahshon, and Nahshon the father of Salmon, and Salmon the
father of Boaz by Rahab, and Boaz the father of Obed by Ruth, and Obed the
father of Jesse.

I am crying for this earth because of this type of woman and her like with
the fact that in the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon
a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple.
Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his
face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one
called to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the
whole earth is full of his glory!” And the foundations of the thresholds
shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke.
And I said: “Wo

e is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and
I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the
King, the Lord of hosts!” (Isaiah 6:1-1).

Traditionally speaking and otherwise, God can never change. However, some
Devil-incarnates like this woman are changing Godly rules for their
undefined Human Rights and Democratic Rights. Hardly do they believe again
thus: “Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; The rod of
correction will drive it far from him,” Proverbs 22:15 – “Do not withhold
correction from a child, For if you beat him with a rod, he will not die.
You shall beat him with a rod, And deliver his soul from hell,” Proverbs
23:13, 14 – “The rod and rebuke give wisdom, But a child left to himself
brings shame to his mother,” Proverbs 29:15 -. (To achieve her Millennium
Development Goal, this woman and her like, see whoever that scolds the
child as God prescribed is barbaric and parochial, causing Child Abuse and
should be called names. See where the world is today with these Human
Rights and Democratic Rights).

This woman and her like do not subscribe to the quality lifestyle of
“HANNAH” in the bible who was regarded as “A WOMAN OF FAITH”. 1 Samuel
1:1-2:10. This type of woman and her like do not agree again in the Old
Testament and its qualitative way of life, which our forebears knew that
contains many role models (for us today) and they lived by the principles.
Great women like Sarah, Ruth, Esther and a wonderful role model for women
of faith today which is Hannah never went about chasing shadows to overturn
the nature’s gift of leadership of the men and never saw the men as equal
with them.

The mother of Samuel, one of the greatest prophets of Israel, whose story
is told in the first two chapters of 1 Samuel, according to excerpted
points from a sermon by Brian Hill educates the present-days women chasing
Human Rights instead of defending God Rights thus:

I. WOMEN OF FAITH ENDURE REAL PROBLEMS

1. Womb closed by the Lord – 1Sa 1:1-5

2. Provoking by her rival – 1Sa 1:6-8

3. Women of faith are not without problems in this life

The righteous often suffer (remember Job)

Sarah likewise suffered ridicule from her handmaiden Hagar – Gen 16:3-5

We should not let others deter our trust in the Lord

a. Hannah could have used her misfortune and mistreatment as an excuse

b. Yet year after year Hannah continued to worship the Lord

– 1Sa 1:7

[Women of faith have problems just like other women. What distinguishes
them as women of faith is what they do when faced with their problems, as
we glean from reading 1Sa 1:9-18…]

II. WOMEN OF FAITH EXTEND VIBRANT PRAYERS

A. HANNAH’S PRAYER…

1. With the bitterness of soul – 1Sa 1:10

2. With weeping in anguish – 1Sa 1:10

3. With offers of a solemn vow – 1Sa 1:11

4. With persistence – 1Sa 1:12

5. With her heart – 1Sa 1:13

6. With all her soul – 1Sa 1:15-16

7. With faith in God’s promise – 1Sa 1:18

B. WHAT WE CAN LEARN FROM HANNAH…

1. Pray fervently – she put her soul in her prayers – Col 4:2a

2. Pray persistently – she continued steadfastly in prayers – Co 4:2b

3. Pray faithfully – she believed that God would answer her prayers – 1Jn
5:14-15

[Women of faith believe in the efficacy of prayer. God takes notice of such
faith (2Ch 16:9), so we should not be surprise to see as we continue
reading (1Sa 1:19-20) that…]

III. WOMEN OF FAITH EXPERIENCE GOD’S PROVISIONS

A. HANNAH’S PROVISIONS…

1. When the Lord remembered her – 1Sa 1:19

2. When the Lord gave her a son, whom she named Samuel (“heard of

God”) – 1Sa 1:20

B. WHAT WE CAN LEARN FROM HANNAH…

1. God may sometimes give us what we want

a. It must be according to His will – 1Jn 5:14

b. We must abide in His words – Jn 15:7

c. *Selfish prayers will not be answered as we wish – Jm 4:3. *(Like that
of the Chauvinistic feminist).

2. God will always provide what we need

a. It may not be what we want or expect

b. But it will meet our needs, and be for our good – cf. Mt

6:33; Ro 8:28

[In Hannah’s case, she received that for which she asked. But she had made
a vow, and as we read on (1Sa 1:21-28), we see that…]

IV. WOMEN OF FAITH EXCEL AT KEEPING PROMISES. *(But feminists are good at
running away from their marriages. Emphasis, mine)*

A. HANNAH’S PROMISE…

1. She planned to keep her promise – 1Sa 1:22

2. She carried out what she promised – 1Sa 1:24-28

3. She worshipped the Lord – 1Sa 1:28

B. WHAT WE CAN LEARN FROM HANNAH…

1. We should keep our vows

a. God has no pleasure in fools who do not keep their vows

– Ec 5:4-5

b. As Christians, even our ‘yes’ and ‘no’ are as solemn vows

– Mt 5:33-37; Jm 5:12

2. We should worship the Lord

a. Fulfillment of vows or promises should not be done begrudgingly

b. We should with gratitude of heart do the will of the Lord

– cf. Col 3:17

[Finally, we note Hannah’s prayer of thanksgiving (1Sa 2:1-10), which

is reminiscent of Mary’s ‘Magnificent’ (Lk 1:46-55). Both prayers reveal

that…]

V. WOMEN OF FAITH EXPRESS THEIR PRAISE

A. HANNAH’S PRAISE…

1. With great joy in her heart – 1Sa 2:1

2. With praise for the Lord for His help – 1Sa 2:2-10

B. WHAT WE CAN LEARN FROM HANNAH…

1. We should rejoice in blessings received

a. For we are to rejoice always – 1Th 5:16

b. How much more so when we have received blessings from the Lord!

2. We should offer praise for blessings received

a. As David offered thanks, and promised to praise God – Psa18:49

b. Praising God is how Christians offer spiritual sacrifices to God – He
13:15

(Reminding Women Liberation Crusaders. Heading mine):

1. “Hannah – A Woman Of Faith” serves to remind us that all women of

faith…

a. Endure real problems

b. Extend vibrant prayers

c. Experience God’s provisions

d. Excel at keeping promises

e. Express their praise

2. Today, anyone can become a person of faith…

a. Even though you face many problems

b. If you are willing to come to God in prayerful obedience to the

gospel of Christ

c. Receive the gift of salvation provided through God’s Son

d. Remain true to your commitment to His authority as Lord of your

life

e. Offer your life and the fruit of your lips in praise to Him

“My heart rejoices in the Lord; My horn is exalted in the Lord.” – 1Sa 2:1.

It could be because God knows that these types of woman-Liberation-advocate
will spring up that He said that my people are destroyed for lack of
knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a
priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will
forget your children – Hosea 4:6. (They no longer behave like Hannah. They
see her as being in the days of Homer. But look at where we are today with
the civilization of doom. Divorced women everywhere in the name of Human
Rights. *Tufiakwa!*).

Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita warns thus: Strive constantly to serve the
welfare of the world; by devotion to selfless work one attains the supreme
goal of life. Do your work with the welfare of others always in mind….On
this path effort never goes to waste, and there is no failure. Even a
little effort toward spiritual awareness will

protect you from the greatest
fear…. Strive to still your thoughts. Make your mind one-pointed in
meditation…. Be fearless and pure; never waver in your determination or
your dedication to the spiritual life. (Not on Human Rights and Democratic
Rights. Emphasis mine).

Krishna goes further and said, give freely. Be self-controlled, sincere,
truthful, loving, and full of the desire to serve…Learn to be detached
and to take joy in renunciation. Do not get angry…, but be compassionate
and gentle; show good will to all. Cultivate vigor, patience, will, purity;
avoid malice and pride. Then, you will achieve your destiny. (A lot of
women today are angry, and the men continue to plead to them for peace to
reign, which was not supposed to be so. Emphasis mine).

While many women of Human Rights and Democratic Rights do not subscribe to
the recently above statement yet claiming to be Women of God and all that
nonsense, God had said that not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’
will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my
Father in heaven will enter. (Matthew 7:21). For rebellion is as the
sin…, and presumption is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have
rejected the word of the Lord, he has also rejected you from being king. (1
Samuel 15:23). Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil
prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. (1 Peter
5:8). (How many of these women know this? Emphasis mine).

Rather what they see as the 21st civilization is now the works of the flesh
which are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry,
sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions,
divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as
I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the
kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21).

God is crying for the dissident feminists, saying, the vision of Isaiah the
son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of
Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. Hear, O heavens, and
give ear, O earth; for the Lord has spoken: “Children have I reared and
brought up, but they have rebelled against me. The ox knows its owner, and
the donkey its master’s crib, but Israel does not know, my people do not
understand.” Ah, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, offspring of
evildoers, children who deal corruptly! They have forsaken the Lord, they
have despised the Holy One of Israel, they are utterly estranged. Why will
you still be struck down? Why will you continue to rebel? The whole head is
sick, and the whole heart faint. (Isaiah 1:1-31).

>From all the religious traditions, God never said that man and woman is
equal; He said that they are one, as buttressed thus: There is neither Jew
nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female,
for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:28). (Not equal! Not
Equal! No, not equal!!! Emphasis mine).

Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which
you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you
hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I
delivered to you as of first importance what I also received… (1
Corinthians 15:1-58).

These feminists: If you love me, you will keep my commandments. (John
14:15). We have to teaching them (feminists) to observe all that I have
commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
(Matthew 28:20). However, the feminists… will deliver you up to tribulation
and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s
sake. (Matthew 24:9).

As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and
understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a
hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty. (Matthew 13:23).
(Feminists) whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the
devil has been sinning from the beginning…(1 John 3:8). For the love of
money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some
(Feminists. Mine) have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves
with many pangs. (1 Timothy 6:10).

For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of
the saints…(1 Corinthians 14:33), He has told women to be submissive to
their men, but they are rather submitting to Human Rights and Democratic
Rights, instead of God Rights, yet they claim to know God. Feminists hear
this: Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me.
And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and
manifest myself to him. (John 14:21). (The feminists, like) thief, come
only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have
it abundantly. (John 10:10).

The woman who scolded me in the reply and her like are the people poisoning
the minds of the younger girls not to be obedient to their men. But this is
what God, not Human Rights: Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the
Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of
the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits
to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands…”
Ephesians 5:22-33 ESV / 25.

Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do
not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their
wives, when they see your respectful and pure conduct. Do not let your
adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold
jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden
person (like Hannah. Mine) of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a
gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious. For this is
how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting
to their own husbands …” (Not equaling to their own husbands. Mine). (1
Peter 3:1-6 ESV / 21). Of a truth, God will not do wickedly, and the
Almighty will not pervert justice. (Job 34:12).

How many of them (chauvinistic women) are doing that again (when the
feminists have brainwashed them not to submit to men again). And this could
have formed the opinion of these people thus:

“When a man steals your wife, there is no better revenge than to let him
keep her,” Sacha Guitry. “I’ve had bad luck with both my wives. The first
one left me and the second one didn’t,” Patrick Murray.

“Always get married early in the morning. That way, if it doesn’t work out,
you haven’t wasted a whole day,” Mickey Rooney.

“By all means marry. If you get a good wife, you’ll be happy. If you get a
bad one, you’ll become a philosopher…and that is a good thing for any
man,” Socrates.

It could be because of the the feminists and the women liberators that the
Quran quotes that Allah permits you to shut them in separate rooms and to
beat them, but not severely. If they abstain, they have the right to food
and clothing. Treat women well for they are like domestic animals and they
possess nothing themselves. Allah has made the enjoyment of their bodies
lawful in his Qur’an.” – (Tabari IX:113). “Allah said, ‘It is My obligation
to make Eve bleed once every month as she made this tree bleed. I must also
make Eve stupid, although I created her intelligent.’ Because Allah
afflicted Eve, all of the women of this world menstruate and are stupid.”-
(Tabari I:280).

“In hell I saw women hanging by their breasts. They had fathered bastards.”
(Ishaq:185). “Say to the believing women tha

t they should lower their gaze
and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty except
what (must) appear; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and
not display them except to their husbands…” – (Qur’an 24:31). “Believers,
approach not prayers… with a mind befogged or intoxicated until you
understand what you utter. Nor when you are polluted, until after you have
bathed. If you are ill, or on a journey, or come from answering the call of
nature, or you have touched a woman, and you find no water, then take for
yourselves clean dirt, and rub your faces and hands. Lo! Allah is Benign,
Forgiving.” (Qur’an 4:43).
